BCH 1010 - Biochemistry for Dental Medicine

The Biochemistry for Dental Medicine course aims to teach students foundational biochemistry concepts, with an emphasis on the clinical relevance of such a foundational knowledge for the practice of dentistry. The teaching of foundational biochemistry concepts will be complemented with discussion of clinical correlations and case presentations. The course is structured in the format of pre-recorded lectures that students will watch in a self-directed manner, together with in-class sessions in which students will apply the acquired knowledge to answer practice questions using an audience response platform (iClickers). In addition, students will participate in discussions of clinical vignettes and case presentations.
