PHO 7434 - Risk Assessment
This course is intended to introduce and explain the basics of the risk assessment process and to identify risk assessment benchmarks currently used in environmental and public health. The first series of sessions will cover general concepts of risk assessment, frameworks for risk assessment and risk management and the contributions of public health discipline in the risk assessment. The rest of the course will cover radiological, microbial, chemical risk assessment. The course also presents the Environmental Protection Agency method for risk analysis and how it is using risk analysis as a scientific basis for policy decisions.
