BIO 2031 - Microbiology for Health Sciences (2 Credits)
This course addresses the study of microbial life on Earth, including microbial cell biology, growth and metabolism, genetics, diversity and evolution, environmental effects, and the interactions between microorganisms and high forms of life. Emphasis will be placed on the relationship between microorganisms and humans and current efforts to track and control infectious diseases. Thirty (30) hours lecture. Pre-requisite(s): BIO 1010, BIO 1020, BIO 1021L Corequisite(s): BIO 2032
