BIO 1021 - Anatomy and Physiology II (2 Credits)
This course is a continuation of Anatomy and Physiology I, providing students with an in-depth study of the structure and function of the human body. Emphasis is placed on the endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Students will analyze the interactions between these systems and explore mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis, fluid and electrolyte balance, and acid-base regulation. The course prepares students to understand complex physiological processes and their relevance to health promotion, disease prevention, and nursing care. Sixty (60) lecture hours. Pre-requisite(s): BIO 1011 , BIO 1012 Corequisite(s): BIO 1022
