NUR 2115 - Human Growth and Development Through the Lifespan

This course examines human growth and development from conception to death, integrating biological, psychological, and social factors influencing individual functioning. Students will analyze major developmental theories and research, exploring the impact of various contexts (socioeconomic status, culture, genetics, family, education, and societal factors) on the developmental trajectory. The course emphasizes the dynamic interplay between individuals and their environment, considering the meaning of health and illness within a lifespan perspective. The application of this knowledge to nursing practice is a key focus.
