NUR 2321 - Pharmacology (3 Credits)
This course provides students with a foundational understanding of pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics, preparing them to safely and effectively administer medications across the lifespan. Students will explore drug classifications, mechanisms of action, common medications used to treat various conditions, and potential adverse effects. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, patient safety, and legal and ethical considerations related to medication administration. Students will develop skills in utilizing various resources to research medications and understand the importance of accurate documentation and interprofessional communication. Forty-five (45) lecture hours. Pre-requisite(s): MTH 1050 Corequisite(s): NUR 2322
