NUR 2311 - Health Assessment and Health Promotion (2 Credits)
This course provides a comprehensive foundation in health assessment and health promotion across the lifespan, moving from wellness to illness. Students will holistically integrate anatomy, physiology, and fundamental nursing practice knowledge to evaluate individuals, families, and communities. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and applying the nursing process to identify and address health problems. Students will develop proficiency in obtaining a thorough health history, performing a comprehensive physical examination, and formulating relevant nursing diagnoses. The course emphasizes the importance of person-centered care and culturally sensitive approaches. Pre-requisite(s): BIO 1011 , BIO 1012 , BIO 1021 , BIO 1022 Corequisite(s): NUR 2312
