NUR 4041 - Leadership and Management
(3 Credits)
This course prepares nursing students for clinical practice as a registered nurse at the bachelor’s degree level. Using a systems framework and critical thinking strategies, the student will assume the role of nurse manager/ clinical leader. The course emphasizes the leadership, management, and ethical decision-making process in the delivery of health care in diverse multicultural settings based on current theories of leadership and management. Whenever possible, nursing students may spend additional hours in their chosen specialty field. Forty-five (45) lecture hours.
