NUR 3030 - Pathophysiology


(3 Credits)

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the physiological and pathophysiological processes underlying common health conditions across the lifespan, from adolescence through the elderly. Students will analyze the etiology and mechanisms of disease, exploring the body’s responses to illness and injury. Emphasis is placed on applying this knowledge to clinical assessment, decision-making, and developing appropriate nursing diagnoses and interventions. The course integrates relevant theories, research, and evidence-based practices to support the development of safe and effective patient care strategies for diverse populations.  Forty-five (45) lecture hours.
