NUR 4032 - Pediatric Nursing/ Clinical Practice and Simulation


(2 Credits)

This course provides students hands-on practice and simulated clinical experiences caring for pediatric patients and their families. Building upon previous coursework, students will utilize family systems theory and evidence-based practice to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for children and adolescents. Emphasis is placed on developmentally appropriate care, health promotion, disease prevention, quality improvement, and pediatric care’s ethical and legal considerations. Students will refine their skills in communication, assessment, and the management of common pediatric conditions. The course also integrates health informatics to support clinical decision-making and optimize patient outcomes.  Sixty (60) clinical and simulation hours.
